We should really start this post by saying thank you to the many amazing Flying Dutchman Sailors who over the years have created such a fantastic class history. As we were planning the Flying Dutchman Reunion and Fundraising Dinner, it became very clear – very quickly, how many influential sailors and supporters we were going to have in the room that night.

Each restaurant is Memorable (three grunts), Forgettable (two grunts or a grunt and shrug) or Regrettable (long grunt with head shaken).

2014 Reunion and Fundraising dinner

The Australian Flying Dutchman Association is holding a Reunion Dinner for current and past sailors, as well as family and friends to gather to tell stories and reminisce about this historic class.  This event also serves as a fundraiser for the upcoming 2015 Worlds Championships in Sydney as well as an opportunity to for retired sailors to contribute their knowledge and skills to the continued growth of the class within Australia.

Accommodation Update

Please be aware that as we draw closer to the FD Worlds Sydney 2015, that accommodation prices will rise, particularly from 29/30 Dec – 2 January, as it does in Europe. We suggest you BOOK NOW to ensure you have somewhere to stay and at an affordable rate. 

During this period, we suggest that if you cannot find affordable accommodation near the club that you may need to look further afield and then change lodgings once racing commences.
